If you’ve seen the show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” then you’ve seen improvisational comedy, and these workshops will help you bring that same energy and excitement into your community. Improvisational exercises and games are a great way to break the ice, build community, and just have fun when working with groups. But games can also teach, enlighten, and help us gain insights into ourselves and our spiritual lives in a powerful way. They’re a great tool to include in classes, retreats, and even meetings. Douglas is the artistic director of the Ad Hoc Players, a Christian improv group that offers both workshops and performances. Both are highly interactive and ideal for religious education, youth ministry, teachers, liturgical ministry—any group can benefit! The workshops introduce some fun and easy games you can use right away to enliven your ministry with groups of all ages. Douglas has taught hundreds of ministers the basics of improv for use with classes, youth groups, adult learners, and other ministries. |

The Ad Hoc Players are also available for performances of any length and a variety of formats. Improv is great entertainment for all ages, and the shows are always family-friendly and appropriate for church settings. The Ad Hoc Players make sure the audience is always involved in the show. Perfect for conferences, celebrations, formation days, dinners, camps—almost any time and place works for improv, because no stage, sets, or special lighting is needed! Contact us to craft a show that meets your specific needs. Who thought Christianity could be this much FUN? |
